A Century in the Making

The exact year The Log Bar first opened is a bit of a mystery, but locals say it’s been part of Baldwin life since the 1930s. Over the years, this cozy log bar has worn many names, most famously Edie’s Log Bar through the 1980s, 1990s, and early 2000s. In 2020, Shoey stepped in, bought the empty building, and brought this beloved landmark back to life as Shoey’s Log Bar. As a member of one of Lake County’s founding families, Shoey has deep roots here—and you can feel that history and hometown pride in every corner of the bar, from the kitchen to the barstools.
